The Dolores River runs through a rugged and remote area of western Colorado. The area is very near the Utah boarder. This river runs through some amazing red rock canyon formations that are not to be missed. We are not the only people who consider this area to be magnificient. There is a beautiful resort located in Gateway. http://www.gatewaycanyons.com/

Since we live near this resort we have never stayed there but we have been to the restaurant and the food was excellent. No, I am not related to the resort owner and I don’t even know them. To us it looks like it might be a cool place to spend some time.
